It was a busy Saturday for the Utah Utes at the NFL Scouting Combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Defensive end Bradlee Anae and linebacker Francis Bernard joined defensive tackles Leki Fotu and John Penisini as participants. Utah State linebacker David Woodward was also evaluated at the annual pre-draft gathering.

Anae drew praise from NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah in an online report.

”The production is off the charts. Phenomenon production at Utah. The question is how athletic is he? How explosive is he. He’s a technician with his hands,” wrote Jeremiah, who noted that Anae had three sacks in the Senior Bowl. “He’s a technician. The question is how much juice, how much burst does he have? He’s my 48th player right now. His 10 wasn’t bad. The 4.92 isn’t great. But it’s really about that first 10 yards simulating that get off the line of scrimmage as an edge rusher. That’s the number you’re keeping an eye out on. The mark there is 1.65. That’s what you’re shooting for.”

The combine concludes Sunday with the defensive backs. Utah invitees include cornerback Jaylon Johnson, nickel back Javelin Guidry, as well as safeties Julian Blackmon (recovering from an injury) and Terrell Burgess.

Earlier in the week, Utah running back Zack Moss and Utah State quarterback Jordan Love participated. Edge rusher Tipa Galeai of the Aggies was able to meet with NFL teams, but was not allowed to participate in drills because of a misdemeanor assault charge from a fight in 2017.
