SALT LAKE CITY — Utah State got its One Shining Moment, even if it wasn’t in the NCAA Tournament.

The school’s men’s basketball Twitter account shared a highlight video Friday set to the NCAA Tournament’s “One Shining Moment” music. The yearly highlight video showcases the unforgettable moments from the NCAAs and a cap to championship night.

On Thursday, the NCAA canceled all winter and spring NCAA championships due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including the men’s and women’s NCAA tournaments.

Utah State earned the Mountain West’s automatic bid for the second straight season by winning the league tournament championship, defeating then-No. 5 San Diego State 59-56 on senior Sam Merrill’s game-winning 3-pointer.
