The 1998 Utah Jazz made their first appearance in the ESPN documentary “The Last Dance” on Sunday night, teasing the eventual NBA Finals matchup to come.

The documentary’s fourth episode ended with the Chicago Bulls arriving in Salt Lake City. The team bus drives down South Temple by the old Delta Center ahead of a regular-season matchup between the Jazz and Bulls.

The documentary calls the regular season a NBA Finals preview.

The Chicago Bulls lost to the Utah Jazz that night.

Current Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell reacted to the episode, specifically pointing out the Jazz’s nearly all-white jerseys and the need to bring them back.

Other social media members gave nods to the Jazz team, saying the franchise deserved a championship. Social media members reflected on the team’s success, too.

It’s unclear when we’ll see more of the Utah Jazz in “The Last Dance.” But Sunday night’s episode was our first glimpse at the team that would play the Bulls in the NBA Finals.

The Chicago Bulls would defeat the Utah Jazz in six games.
