A trio of signed, game-worn shoes from Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Scottie Pippen of the 1992 Dream Team are up for auction, which is set to end in June.

The shoes will be put up for auction at the Lelands Springs 2020 auction event.

Bidding is open and will run through June 19, according to a release.

The consignor was a Dream Team support staff member, who received the shoes from the players in the locker room during the Tournament of Americas qualifying event for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.

And, according to a release, Jordan’s shoes are the first Dream Team items to be offered in a public auction.

Other items at the auction include game-worn gear from Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James and more. The company said the money earned in the auction will benefit COVID-19 relief efforts.

A pair of Michael Jordan’s shoes sold for $560,000 at an auction at Sotheby’s in New York, as I wrote about for the Deseret News. The shoes are a game-worn pair of Air Jordan sneakers from 1985, which was Jordan’s rookie season. Ten different people from four different continents bid on the shoes over a 10-day period.

Correction: This article originally said the shoes were from the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. They are actually from the Tournament of Americas qualifying event.
