Jazz Gaming will compete in the semifinal round of the NBA 2K League’s “Tipoff” Tournament on Friday night.
- Jazz Gaming secured its spot in the final four after a quarterfinal victory over Pistons GT
- The Utah Jazz affiliate will now play Kings Guard Gaming (Sacramento Kings) in the semifinals. The winner moves on to play either Raptors Uprising GC (Toronto Raptors) or Gen.G Tigers (an official team from Shanghai).
How the Jazz got to the final four
- On Thursday night, Jazz Gaming outlasted the Pistons GT squad, winning the three-game series 2-1.
- The Jazz won Game 1 with a 76-52 score. Kimanni “Splashy” Ingram led the Jazz with 35 points.
- In Game 2, the Jazz Gaming squad only lost by one, 63-62. “Splashy” led the team again with 33 points.
- In the winner-take-all final game, Jazz Gaming didn’t look back, winning 77-57. “Splashy” hit 28 points in the winner.
- Brent “Lord Beezus” Aasgaard earned his first double-double of the year with 13 points and 10 rebounds in Game 1. Shaka “Yeah I Compete” Browne had six steals in Game 3.
