Damuni is the cousin of Timpview standout Raider Damuni, who remains a commit to BYU despite entertaining a multitude of offers. Jovesa Damuni is a 5-foot-11, 180-pound athlete who played at several positions for Ridgeline High School last season, much like Raider Damuni does for Timpview.
It’s anticipated Jovesa Damuni could play at either cornerback or at slot receiver at BYU when he returns home from his planned two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. According to the 247 Sports Network, Jovesa Damuni claimed offers from both BYU and Utah State at the time of his commitment and is rated a three-star prospect.
Jovesa Damuni will be entering his senior season at Ridgeline and will be part of BYU’s 2021 signing class.
Jovesa Damuni’s announcement brought support from his cousin on Twitter.
