SALT LAKE CITY — Former BYU star Jimmer Fredette is looking for a new team again.

According to Eurohoops.net, newly appointed Panathinaikos team president Takis Triantopoulos confirmed Fredette will not be back for his second of a two-year contract with the Greek League team.

“He is informed that he is free to go, his agent also knows this and he is on the market for a new team. We are waiting for any new development,” Triantopoulos said during a press conference last Friday, per Eurohoops.net.

This comes as Panathinaikos reportedly is dealing with financial struggles amid the coronavirus pandemic. Last month, Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakipoulos announced the team was up for sale at a price of 25 million euros, Eurohoops.net reported.
