SALT LAKE CITY — As NFL teams have begun getting ready for the 2020 season, former BYU star and current New Orleans Saints quarterback/utility man Taysom Hill has been preparing for fatherhood.
On Saturday, Hill announced on social media that his wife Emily gave birth to their first child, a son they named Beau Nixon Hill (Nixon is Emily’s maiden name).
Beau Hill arrived right around as expected, as his dad posted on Instagram Aug. 10 a photo of himself putting a crib together, and he indicated in the caption that the due date was two weeks away.

In April, Taysom Hill signed a two-year, $21 million contract extension with the Saints after proving to be an incredibly versatile player.
New Orleans is scheduled to open the 2020 season on Sept. 13 at home against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
