Here’s a complete roundup of Friday’s Week 7 high school football action from around the state.
REGION 1
Johnny McKinney’s second touchdown of the game was a run from eight yards out that gave the Warriors the lead for good. Cannon Kofford had two touchdown tosses in the loss for the Silver Wolves, including a short pass to Jake Stephens to take the lead at the start of the fourth quarter.
Spencer Ferguson rushed for 156 yards and one touchdown, while quarterback Chance Trujillo had a very productive day completing 9 of 12 passes for 324 yards and three touchdowns as the Darts rolled past Syracuse. David Spjut was the recipient of two of those TD passes and he finished with 252 receiving yards on six catches.
Cade Harris, Izzy Gordon and Parker Kingston each scored two rushing touchdowns as Roy rolled.
REGION 2
Jhdhan Lester rushed for a score as the Pirates secured the shutout over Granger.
Kearns continued its undefeated start with a win over West Jordan. Iosefa Toia’ivao had two rushing touchdowns and two passing touchdowns, both to Keishaun Dudley.
Carson Lopati’s four touchdown passes pushed the Panthers past Taylorsville. Sesi Vailahi and Clarence Bird Butler each hauled into two of those scores as West utilized a 34-7 second half to pick up the road win. Humani Wolfgramm threw for all three of the Warriors’ scores, each to a different wide reciever.
REGION 3
Bingham gambled with a two-point conversion attempt in overtime, and it paid off as Josh Woolf hauled in the winning pass from Troy Mehn after a Cael Wightman touchdown made it a 28-27 score. | Full story

REGION 4
Maddux Madsen threw two touchdown passes and rushed for another as American Fork rolled over the Thunder.
Corner Canyon 35, Lone Peak 25
Jaxson Dart passed for three touchdowns — all three to Cody Hagen — and rushed for another in the Corner Canyon victory. | Full story











Skyridge scored 20 points in the first quarter en route to the win. Smith Snowden had a 37-yard interception return for a touchdown and McCae Hllstead threw two touchdown passes, both to James Palmer.

REGION 5
Kord Shaw rushed for a pair of first half touchdowns and then Kamen Best connected with Reiss Graybeal on a 55-yard TD pass in the third quarter as Bonneville remained undefeated in Region 5 play. Woods Cross got three field goals from Austin Bradley.

Box Elder gave up a touchdown four minutes into the game, but the defense shut things down the rest of the way as the Bees pulled away from Bountiful for the Region 5 win. Parker Buchanan passed for and rushed for a touchdown to lead Box Elder.

REGION 6
Conner Harris caught two touchdown passes from Kyler Nielsen and also ran in a 75-yard kick return to help lift the Spartans over Hillcrest.
REGION 7
Timpview controlled this game throughout and staved off a late push from Lehi to get the win. Micah Beckstead was the top scorer with two rushing touchdowns. | Full story










REGION 8
Springville 16, Salem Hills 13
Seth Rigrup and William Penrod both rushed for touchdowns as Springville handed Salem Hills its first loss of the season in a Region 8 defensive grudge match.
Wasatch scored 10 points in the fourth quarter to emerge with the win over Provo. Ashton Southam kicked a field goal to tie the game, then Spencer Risto scored a 5-yard rushing touchdown to secure the win.

Maple Mountain 44, Spanish Fork 37
Maple Mountain won a shootout in which the two teams combined to score 81 points. The Golden Eagles trailed by seven halfway through the fourth quarter, but back-to-back touchdown runs by Tyler Nelson and Thomas Weight turned that deficit in to an advantage and ultimately victory. Seth Krommenhoek played a huge role with his foot, scoring 12 points. Nelson finished with 298 passing yards on the night.

REGION 9
Noah Fuailetolo rushed for two scores and threw to Awsten Turnbow for another as the Thunder defeated Hurricane in region play.
Cedar City’s offense looked unstoppable on nearly every drive in its win over Canyon View. Quarterback Jaron Garrett connected with receiver Jack Cook for three touchdowns in the second quarter alone.

Snow Canyon held off a Dixie fourth-quarter rally and ultimately sealed the win by stopping a two-point conversion try with 4:48 left to remain undefeated. The Warriors jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the second quarter, but Dixie rallied to take a 21-20 halftime lead. Landon Frei pushed Snow Canyon back in front 35-21 heading into the fourth quarter, though, with a pair of touchdown passes. Bretton Stone was a workhorse back, rushing for 237 yards and a touchdown.

Pine View 21, Crimson Cliffs 7
Pine View played outstanding defense all game in pulling away from Crimson Cliffs for the region win. Doug Leung Choi rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown for the Panthers, while Brayden Bunnell ran for and threw for a TD.

REGION 10
Park City 60, Mountain View 30
This matchup certainly didn’t lack in offense, but Park City ultimately pulled away. | Full story
The Stallions jumped out to a huge lead and never looked back en route to the Region 10 victory over Ben Lomond. Kru Huxford rushed for three touchdowns in a row and also passed for two more to help lead his team to the win.
Elijah Holman booted three field goals, including an important 29-yarder in the fourth quarter, as Cedar Valley held off Tooele for the region win after leading 20-0 at halftime. Justic Tadifa passed for a pair of scores to spark the Tooele comeback effort.
Ogden’s two first-half touchdowns, one a pick-6 from Ammon Bergeson and another an 11-yard run from Logan Shobe, pushed the Tigers over Uintah. After a scoreless second half, Ogden closed the game with a double pass, as Ammon Bergeson hit Enrique Gomez, who tossed a 25-yard pass to Jaice Holt to put his team up two scores.
REGION 11
Quarterback Kasen Carlsen threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two more as Sky View shut out Mountain Crest at home.
Green Canyon 27, Bear River 26
A back-and-forth game throughout, it came down to the last possession to determine the winner. Green Canyon executed a beautiful three-minute drive and scored with eight seconds left to give it the narrow one point margin and the victory. Quarterback Jake Lundin led the way for Green Canyon with four touchdown passes.

Kaden Cox passed for three touchdowns, finding Strat Simmons for two and Jaden Harris for another. Harris rushed for another three scores in the Ridgeline victory.
REGION 12
Emery scored early and often to cruise to the shutout victory over Carbon. Ryker Jensen passed for four touchdowns, finding Jeremy Brannon three times, and rushed for another in the Spartan win.

Gavin Brown threw two touchdowns and rushed for another as Richfield defeated South Sevier.

Ladd Ivins had four scores, a 1-yard run and three long receptions as San Juan dominated Grand and picked up a road win in Region 12. Jace Palmer was the quarterback for the three touchdown tosses. Grand’s Rylan Jones threw for two and ran for one in the loss.

REGION 13
South Summit 22, Grantsville 16
Bobby Freeman had a 55-yard interception return for South Summit as the Wildcats beat Grantsville in a game that saw 29 of the 38 points be scored in the fourth quarter.

Summit Academy 31, Juan Diego 28
Summit Academy completed the crazy come-from-behind victory with a 32-yard field goal from Kyson Andolsek. Down 18 after a Dallas Larson touchdown with seven minutes left, the Golden Bears offense stayed calm and scored a touchdown in under 90 seconds, a 9-yard pass from Joe Garlick to Hagan Walker. Just 33 seconds later, they were back in the end zone as Garlick hit Titan Kilgore for a score and then Jaxon Case for the 2-point conversion to tie the game before Andolsek’s winning kick a few minutes later.

REGION 14
North Sanpete couldn’t contain the Juab running game as all of Juab’s touchdowns came on the ground, led by Slade Blackburn and Trey Lund, who each recorded two rushing touchdowns.

Delta 15, American Leadership 12
Oran Finlinson rushed for a 66-yard touchdown and Austin Topham ran for another as the Rabbits clinched the narrow victory over ALA in the Region 14 matchup.

Adam Demille rushed for two touchdowns as Manti defeated Union.

2A NORTH
North Summit scored 21 points in the first quarter and never looked back. Jackson Prescott, Kandon Mosher and Matagi Faavale all scored rushing touchdowns and Beau Woolstenhulme found Hunter Rex for another.

Duchesne 35, Gunnison Valley 17
Duchesne remained unbeaten after rallying from a surprising 15-point deficit in the second quarter, eventually pulling away in the second half. Cameron Brady threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two more to key the Eagles’ comeback.
2A SOUTH
Kanin Boswell connected with Deagan Brazell on a 30-yard game winning pass with 2:26 remaining as North Sevier beat Millard for the first time since 2000.

Beaver steamrolled Enterprise, scoring 35 points in the first half. Crayton Hollingshead had two rushing touchdowns and Treyson Hunter threw three touchdown passes.

Derek Houston threw three touchdowns, including two to Kason Janes, in Kanab’s win.
NONREGION
Josh Loufiso’s 25-yard field goal midway through the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner for Clearfield as it edged Farmington in a nonregion contest that was the result of COVID-19 causing cancellations of their scheduled region games. Branson Simper connected with Nixon Dayley on a 78-yard TD pass early in the third quarter that put the Falcons up 14-7.
Judge Memorial 21, Monticello 13
Judge Memorial scored early and never looked back, ultimately beating the road Buckaroos.
Ayden Helm found Kenyon Colemere in the end zone twice and Luke Johnson once as the Sentinels cruised to the shutout victory over Payson.

Alta dominated its way to a 35-0 halftime lead and eventually the 43-point victory behind Samuel Black’s three touchdown runs and Ethan Jackson’s two touchdown passes, both of which were to Issak Hanson.

Wyatt Miller’s 21-yard field goal with just under 100 seconds left gave Riverton the win. The Silverwolves crawled out of an early 7-0 hole thanks to three first-half touchdown passes from Jaxon Howard, but the Titans battled back, tying the game up in the third quarter on a pick-6 from Jackson Bennee that was returned 75 yards.

Parowan 35, Providence Hall 12
After a close first half, Parowan came out of the locker room and outscored Providence Hall 28-6 in the second half to cruise to the victory. The Rams’ special teams unit came up big with a punt return touchdown and a blocked kick returned for a touchdown.
