Utah State has its first 2022 football commit: a 3-star athlete from Orem

Utah State’s 2022 football recruiting class has its first commit.

Orem High’s Chase Tuatagaloa announced via Twitter on Thursday he’s committed to first-year coach Blake Anderson’s program.

Tuatagaloa is rated a three-star athlete by 247 Sports and also held a scholarship offer from Morgan State.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pounder is rated the No. 41 prospect from the state of Utah. He’s played both quarterback and tight end in high school and transferred to Orem from Bingham prior to the 2019 season.

Tuatagaloa has helped Orem capture the 5A championship each of the past two seasons.
