It has been known that the BYU Cougars and UVU Wolverines men’s basketball teams would face each other during the upcoming season, and a date for the contest was formally announced on Thursday.
The two sides will meet Dec. 1 in Orem in what will be their sixth all-time meeting. The Cougars hold a 4-1 advantage in the series, including an 82-60 win when they played last November in Provo.
BYU’s nonconference slate also includes games against Oregon, George Mason (in a tournament in the Bahamas that also includes Tulsa and Boston College), San Diego State, Utah State, Utah, Arizona State, Weber State and Boise State.
UVU’s schedule before Western Athletic Conference play also includes Boise State, Pepperdine, Idaho (in California) and Washington.
