During AJ Dybantsa’s appearance on ESPN’s First Take last Tuesday when he announced he was committed to play college basketball at BYU, he mentioned that Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant is “my favorite player of all time.”

On Friday night the two linked up at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City prior to the Suns’ game against the Utah Jazz.

Cameras caught Durant approaching the front row of seats before the game, where Dybantsa was sitting with a group of people that included his father Ace.

Durant dapped up the group, then he and AJ Dybantsa spoke with each other for a brief time.

Then at one point during the game, Durant got fouled at the basket by Jazz big man Walker Kessler but made a shot attempt. At that point Dybantsa was sitting behind the basket, and though Durant’s back was facing the camera and there wasn’t any audio, the camera showed Dybantsa give a head nod to Durant.
