After the transfer of three-year starting punter Jack Bouwmeester to Texas, Utah has added a punter to its roster as Missouri punter Orion Phillips announced his commitment to Utah on Saturday afternoon.

Phillips trained at Prokick Australia, which tutored former Utes Mitch Wishnowsky and Bouwmeester.

An Australian native, Phillips began his college career at Murray State, where he averaged 43.5 yards per punt, including a long of 71 yards. Twelve of Phillips’ 40 punts landed inside the 20-yard line, and eight went 50 or more yards.
