For the second straight day, a Utah transfer portal commit has reportedly signed with another school.

On Saturday, it was running back Mike Washington flipping to Arkansas and on Sunday, wide receiver Joseph Williams flipped to Colorado, according to On3′s Pete Nakos.

The loss of Williams, who was Utah’s premier portal wide receiver pickup this offseason, is a big one for the Utes. The American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year had 30 receptions for 588 yards and five touchdowns and was offered by numerous Power Four schools, including Michigan, USC, Arizona State and Colorado.

He and Washington were the only Utah transfer portal pickups not to sign a financial aid agreement (which has replaced the the National Letter of Intent) as they continued to explore their options, even after committing.

Williams’ departure leaves Mississippi State’s Creed Whittemore as Utah’s lone wide receiver pickup in the transfer portal. The Utes now need one or two more receivers out of the portal heading into next season.
