Utah has had a busy weekend on the transfer portal front.
It started on Friday with the pickups of Washington State running back Wayshawn Parker, New Mexico running back NaQuari Rogers, then the Utes reportedly added Oklahoma quarterback Brendan Zurbrugg on Saturday.
On Sunday, Utah signed Washington sophomore defensive end Lance Holtzclaw, who became the 11th transfer portal addition for the Utes the offseason.
The 6-foot-3, 224-pound Holtzclaw is the second defensive end to sign with the Utes this cycle, joining Oregon freshman Jaxson Jones. In his sophomore season for the Huskies in 2024, Holtzclaw played 114 snaps over 12 games and totaled eight tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery.
Holtzclaw is the fifth addition from the transfer portal on the defensive side of the ball, joining Jones, UC Davis cornerback Blake Cotton, Texas A&M cornerback Donovan Saunders and Garden City cornerback Jeremiah Caldwell.
