LeBron James’ second son could play in Utah up to two times during the 2025-26 college basketball season.
On Wednesday, Bryce James announced on social media that he has committed to play for the Arizona Wildcats. With the Wildcats being in the Big 12 Conference alongside the BYU Cougars and Utah Runnin’ Utes, there’s a good chance he’ll make trips to Provo and Salt Lake City as a freshman.
There’s also a good chance both the Cougars and Utes will face Arizona on the road, although not all of the conference’s teams face each other twice each season.
Listed by 247 Sports at 6-foot-4 and 190 pounds out of Sierra Canyon High in California, Bryce James chose Arizona over scholarship offers from Ohio State and Duquesne.
LeBron James’ oldest son, Bronny, played one season at USC and is now teammates with his father on the Los Angeles Lakers. He’s spent much of his rookie year with the franchise’s NBA G League team, the South Bay Lakers.
LeBron and Bronny James became the first father-son duo in NBA history to take the court together when they did so at the beginning of this season.
Several years ago, LeBron James said he wanted to play in the NBA with his oldest son. Having turned 40 on Monday, he was asked earlier this week how long he thinks he can keep playing, and he replied between five and seven years, though he said he won’t keep playing for that long.
Bryce James could be an NBA rookie as early as the 2026-27 season.
