BYU’s leadership council for 2025 is set.

Wide receiver Chase Roberts, running back LJ Martin, linebacker Jack Kelly, safety Tanner Wall and defensive tackle Keanu Tanuvasa will serve as captains in 2025.

The quintet will be joined on the council by the following 12 co-captains:

According to a statement from BYU, “The Leadership Council meets regularly to plan and fulfill leadership responsibilities for the program, both on and off the field.”

Roberts was previously a captain for the Cougars in 2024, while Wall and Kelly both served as co-captains.

“I’m confident in this leadership team our players have selected,” head coach Kalani Sitake said in a statement. “We have a lot of good leaders on our team who will provide both leadership and support throughout our program to make our team better. We are excited for the season.”
