Utah is back in the AP top 25 poll.
Following a strong road victory at UCLA this past weekend, the Utes landed at No. 25 in Monday’s rankings.
Utah had previously been the second team out of the rankings in the preseason poll, one spot behind BYU.

Now, the Utes are just ahead of their in-state rival and right behind another Big 12 foe in Texas Tech.
The Cougars, who defeated Portland State 69-0 in their season opener, remained the first team out of the poll, thought their vote total dipped to 102 after receiving 156 points from voters in the preseason.
The Utes are now ranked for the first time since Week 7 of last season and for the 182nd week in program history.
Utah is one of four Big 12 teams ranked in this week’s poll, joining No. 12 Arizona State, No. 16 Iowa State and No. 24 Texas Tech.
In addition to the Cougars, TCU, Kansas State and Baylor all received votes outside of the top 25.
Utah returns home this Saturday to face Cal Poly, while BYU will host Stanford.
