There were 48 Utah ties on active rosters for the first week of the 2025 NFL season.
That group of players accounted for four touchdowns and provided a handful of star efforts on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.

- Alohi Gilman, S, Orem High: Started at safety and had a team-high nine tackles, with four solo stops, while playing all 61 snaps on defense for the Chargers and seven on special teams.
- Andre James, C, Herriman High: Played five snaps on special teams.
Kansas City
- Jeffrey Bassa, LB, Kearns High: Played 16 snaps on special teams.
- Jalen Royals, WR, Utah State: Not active for game with a knee injury.
- Kingsley Suamataia, OT, BYU and Orem High: Started at left guard and played all 61 offensive snaps for the Chiefs, as well as four on special teams.

- Tyler Allgeier, RB, BYU: Started at running back and had 10 carries for a team-high tying 24 rushing yards, including a 2-yard carry on fourth-and-1 to help set up a field goal, while playing 19 offensive snaps and eight on special teams.
- Kaden Elliss, LB, Judge Memorial High: Started at inside linebacker and had five tackles (three solo) and a pass deflection while playing all 58 defensive snaps for the Falcons and five on special teams.

- Ryan Rehkow, P, BYU: Punted six times with a 52.7-per punt average that included two touchbacks and one inside the 20, all on nine special teams snaps. His final punt of the day was downed at the 1, pinning Cleveland deep with under 30 seconds to play and the Bengals holding a one-point lead.

- Mohamoud Diabate, LB, Utah: Had three tackles — two on defense and one on special teams — while playing nine defensive snaps and 10 on special teams.

- Zach Wilson, QB, BYU and Corner Canyon High: Completed 5 of 8 passes for 32 yards and had one carry for 3 yards late in the game while playing nine offensive snaps.

- Devin Lloyd, LB, Utah: Started at linebacker and had four tackles — three on defense and another on special teams — while playing 22 defensive snaps and eight on special teams.
- Tim Patrick, WR, Utah: Did not record a catch in seven offensive snaps.

- Brady Christensen OG, BYU and Bountiful High: Played two snaps on special teams.

- Jackson Powers-Johnson, OG, Corner Canyon High: Started at right guard and played all 63 offensive snaps for the Raiders and five on special teams.

- Rashid Shaheed, WR, Weber State: Started at wide receiver and caught six passes for 33 yards, including a 6-yarder on fourth-and-1 to extend New Orleans’ final drive, and returned two punts for 18 yards while playing 64 offensive snaps and four on special teams.
- Devaughn Vele, WR, Utah: Had one reception for 13 yards that helped set up a fourth-quarter field goal while playing 17 offensive snaps and five on special teams.
- Jonah Williams, DE, Weber State: Was promoted from the practice squad for the game and had one tackle while playing 13 defensive snaps and seven on special teams.

Pittsburgh
- Miles Killebrew, S, Southern Utah: Had a special teams tackle while playing 21 snaps on special teams.
- Jaylen Warren, RB, Utah State, Snow College and East High: Started at running back and had a team-high 11 carries for 37 yards, as well as two receptions for 22 yards and a fourth-quarter touchdown, while playing 25 offensive snaps.
New York
- Jay Tufele, DT, Bingham High: Had three tackles, including two solo stops, while playing 17 defensive snaps and five on special teams.

Matt Gay, K, Utah and Orem High: Kicked three extra points and played seven special teams snaps.
Bobby Wagner, MLB, Utah State: Started at middle linebacker and had a team-high 10 tackles, including five solo stops and a tackle for loss, while playing all 68 defensive snaps for the Commanders and three on special teams.

- Jaxson Dart, QB, Corner Canyon High and Roy High: Did not play.

Denver
- Garett Bolles, OT, Utah, Snow College and Westlake High: Started at left tackle and played all 76 offensive snaps for the Broncos and four on special teams.
- Jonah Elliss, OLB, Utah: Had three tackles — two solo stops and one on special teams — and a 16-yard sack in the fourth quarter after a Denver turnover deep in its own territory to go with a QB hurry and tackle for loss while playing 23 defensive snaps and 25 on special teams.
- Karene Reid, LB, Utah and Timpview High: Played 18 snaps on special teams.
Tennessee
- Cody Barton, LB, Utah and Brighton High: Started at linebacker and tied for the team lead with nine tackles, including five solo stops, while playing all 76 defensive snaps for the Titans.
49ers 17, Seahawks 13
San Francisco
- Fred Warner, MLB, BYU: Started at middle linebacker and had a team-high eight tackles, with four solo stops, and two tackles for loss — one came on a third-and-2 situation inside the San Francisco 5 — while playing 49 defensive snaps and three on special teams. He briefly left the game with an injury, but came back after missing just three snaps.
Seattle
- Connor O’Toole, OLB, Utah: Not active for game.

Packers 27, Lions 13
Green Bay
- Zayne Anderson, S, BYU and Stansbury High: Not active for game with a knee injury.
- Chris Brooks, RB, BYU: Had one carry for 1 yard, one reception for 2 yards and three special teams tackles while playing nine offensive snaps and 16 on special teams.
- Jordan Love, QB, Utah State: Started at quarterback and completed 16 of 22 passes for 188 yards and two touchdowns, scoring tosses of 15 and 17 yards in the first half that helped the Packers take a 17-3 halftime lead. Love also had three carries for 4 yards while playing all 48 offensive snaps for the Packers.
Detroit
- Penei Sewell, OT, Desert Hills High: Started at right tackle while playing 67 offensive snaps and three on special teams.
- Sione Vaki, RB, Utah: Not active for game with a hamstring injury.

- Puka Nacua, WR, BYU and Orem High: Started at wide receiver and had a team-high 10 receptions for 130 yards (second-most in the NFL in Week 1 heading into Monday night), including receptions of 19 and 24 yards on a touchdown drive once he returned to the field after briefly entering the concussion protocol at the end of the first quarter. He added one carry for 1 yard while playing 38 offensive snaps.
Houston
- Dalton Schultz, TE, Bingham High: Started at tight end and had three receptions for 28 yards while playing 34 offensive snaps.
Bills 41, Ravens 40
Buffalo
- Cole Bishop, S, Utah: Started at safety and had four solo tackles while playing all 51 defensive snaps for the Bills and seven on special teams.
- Jackson Hawes, TE, Highland High: Caught a 29-yard pass — the first of his NFL career — to set up Buffalo at the Baltimore 1 with three minutes left, leading to a Bills touchdown that cut the Ravens’ lead to 40-38. Hawes played 16 offensive snaps and eight on special teams.
- Taron Johnson, CB, Weber State: Had two solo tackles while playing 34 defensive snaps and one on special teams.
- Dalton Kincaid, TE, Utah: Started at tight end and caught a 15-yard touchdown on the Bills’ first drive as part of a night that included four receptions for 48 yards and a 22-yard reception that set up a field goal on the final play of the first half. Kincaid played 43 offensive snaps.
Baltimore
- Kyle Van Noy, OLB, BYU: Started at outside linebacker and had three tackles, one solo and a tackle for loss, and a QB hurry while playing 58 defensive snaps.
