Skyridge 42, Lehi 38

Skyridge (5-1) staged a thrilling comeback to edge past Lehi (3-2) with a 42-38 victory in a Region 3 battle. Lincoln Tahi’s decisive 1-yard touchdown run with 7:17 left in the fourth quarter sealed the Falcons’ triumph. Kaneal Sweetwyne led the offensive charge for Skyridge, completing 30 of 43 passes for 371 yards, including two touchdown passes, though he was intercepted three times. Down by 14 in the first quarter, Skyridge overcame the deficit with a potent second quarter, trailing only by a field goal at the half. Lehi’s Cash Hollingshead connected with Cam Wren for a 55-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, but it wasn’t enough to fend off Skyridge’s rally.


Region 4

Granger 56, Kearns 7

Granger (5-1) dominated Kearns (1-5) in a lopsided Region 4 matchup, securing a decisive 56-7 victory. The Lancers established their control early, jumping to a 14-0 lead after the first quarter before exploding for 35 points in the second quarter, effectively sealing the game by halftime. Kearns managed to put seven points on the board in the second quarter but failed to score again, stifled by Granger’s defense. Granger added another touchdown in the third quarter to cap their scoring.

West Jordan 31, Hunter 7

West Jordan (4-2) dominated Hunter (2-4) in a Region 4 matchup, securing a 31-7 victory on the road. The Jaguars capitalized early with Tino Fale’s 3-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Nia Ioapo was instrumental for West Jordan, scoring on a 13-yard pass in the second quarter and a 96-yard kick return in the third. Hunter’s lone score came from Connor Anderson’s 23-yard run late in the third quarter. Aaron Hunt added a 35-yard field goal in the fourth to seal the win for the Jaguars, marking their second consecutive victory.

Cyprus 31, Taylorsville 6

Cyprus (4-2) capitalized on a strong defensive performance to secure a convincing 31-6 victory over Taylorsville (0-6) in a Region 4 matchup. The Pirates opened the scoring with a 1-yard touchdown run by Justice Fonoti in the first quarter and never looked back. Cyprus quarterback Brock Langford connected with Cody Campbell for a 22-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter, extending the lead. Emilio Quezada contributed a 25-yard field goal to further the gap. Taylorsville’s lone score came in the second quarter with a rushing touchdown by Khi Spight, but they were held scoreless in the second half as Cyprus continued to dominate.


Region 10

Juan Diego 35, Cottonwood 6

Juan Diego (2-4) secured a dominant 35-6 victory over Cottonwood in a Region 10 matchup. The Soaring Eagle were led by Braylon Fail, who caught three touchdown passes from Jacoby Ahlstrom, including a 45-yard strike with just five seconds left in the first half, extending their lead to 28-0. One Vea contributed on the ground, scoring twice with runs of 20 and 5 yards. Cottonwood (0-6) was held scoreless for three quarters, finally getting on the board with an 8-yard run by Nilton Deleme with 3:30 remaining in the game. Juan Diego capitalized on a strong first-half performance, effectively sealing the contest early.
