Utah added another commitment to its 2026 football recruiting class this week, when Boise-area wide receiver Hudson Lewis flipped his commitment from Washington State to the Utes.

He is the fourth wide receiver to verbally commit to Utah’s 2026 class, along with twin brothers Jaron Pula and Kennan Pula, standouts at Lone Peak, as well as California product Perrion Williams.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Lewis preps at Timberline High in Boise, Idaho, where he has 28 receptions for 491 yards and nine touchdowns through four games this season, according to MaxPreps.

3 things to know about Hudson Lewis

Lewis is a three-star recruit with a 0.8644 grade in 247 Sports’ composite rankings.

At the time of his commitment to Utah, he held scholarship offers from 11 different schools, including Utah State, Washington State, San Diego State, Nevada and New Mexico.

Thus far, Utah is the lone power conference scholarship offer for Lewis.

Lewis is also a track star.

In May, he ran the 100-meter dash in 10.70 seconds to win the event during the Idaho 6A state track and field championships, according to the Idaho Statesman.

“(Lewis’) athleticism is unmatched,” Timberline head football coach Ian Smart told KTVB. “And again, I’ve been around here, I’ve coached in Idaho for 15 years now — I can’t remember a kid that has been as dynamic as he is on a football field.”

Lewis is off to a fast start to his senior season.

His 491 receiving yards is currently the second-most among Idaho high school football players, according to MaxPreps, though his 122.8 yards per game leads the state.

Hudson has gone more than 100 receiving yards with multiple touchdown catches in three of Timberline’s games so far.

That included a Week 2 win over Nelson, where he caught seven passes for 193 yards and four touchdowns, according to MaxPreps.
