There were several standout performances from the 50 Utah ties on active rosters during Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season.

One of the most impressive, though, came from former Utah linebacker Devin Lloyd, who has turned into one of the league’s premier linebackers in his fourth NFL season.

Lloyd had eight tackles, including six solo stops and a tackle for loss, to go with two pass deflections to help the Jacksonville Jaguars beat the San Francisco 49ers 26-21.

His biggest impact, though, came in intercepting two Brock Purdy passes.

Lloyd’s first interception of the game came in the second quarter, when Purdy was trying to connect with Christian McCaffrey in Jaguars territory. McCaffrey struggled to pull in the high throw, and Lloyd was there to pick off the tipped pass.

The second came midway through the third quarter, when Lloyd stepped in front of a Purdy pass to Jauan Jennings and returned it 8 yards to the 49ers 28. It led to a field goal that gave Jacksonville a 20-14 lead.

His two interceptions give him a league-leading three on the season, tied with Chicago’s Kevin Byard.

“Everybody just attacks the ball. We’ve got a great unit and I love these guys,” Lloyd told the Fox broadcast after the game.
