Byrd Ficklin made plenty of plays in his first collegiate start for Utah, particularly on the ground.

The true freshman quarterback, who was filling in for a hurt Devon Dampier, ended up running for 151 yards and a touchdown while also throwing for 140 yards and two touchdowns on a 45% completion percentage Saturday night against Colorado.

That was more than enough for the Utes to roll to a 53-7 win over the moribund Buffaloes.
