While trailing by 16, BYU’s defense has actually done a solid job against the high-powered Red Raiders offense. The Cougars have allowed just 252 yards and 2.9 yards per carry while racking up four sacks thus far.

The Red Raiders drove down to the BYU 7-yard line, but the Cougars’ defense held up to force the field goal.

Jack Kelly’s pressure on third down led to Behren Morton hobbling off the field. His health going forward will be something to monitor as BYU attempts another comeback from down two scores.

But BYU’s defense held strong, as Jack Kelly sacked Behren Morton on third down to force the long field goal. Siale Esera previously had another third down sack just before Kingston’s fumbled punt.
