The University of Utah men’s basketball program dipped into the junior college ranks for its latest commit.
On Sunday, forward Zati Loubaki of Trinity Valley Community College in Texas announced his commitment to the Runnin’ Utes on social media.
It is expected that Loubaki will join the Utes for the 2026-27 season.
Listed by Trinity Valley at 6-foot-9 and 230 pounds, Loubaki hails from northern France but was involved with several high school basketball programs in the United States.
Last season for Trinity Valley, Loubaki averaged 9.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. Trinity Valley won the National Junior College Athletic Association national championship, and Loubaki was named tournament MVP.
Loubaki joins point guard Styles Clemmons as players who have committed to Utah so far as part of their recruiting class for next season.
