Another week, another victory for both BYU and Utah. It’s becoming a habit in 2025.

That resulted in both the Cougars, a 44-13 winner over TCU, and Utah, a 55-28 winner over Baylor, moving up in the latest top 25 rankings.

Where are BYU and Utah ranked in the latest AP and US LBM Coaches polls after Week 12?

BYU (9-1, 6-1 Big 12) moved up one spot to No. 11 in the latest Associated Press rankings, receiving 992 points.

The Cougars also jumped one spot to No. 11 in the latest US LBM Coaches poll with 923 points.

BYU still controls its destiny to reach the conference championship game if the Cougars win out. Next up is a road game next Saturday at Cincinnati (6 p.m. MST, Fox), who lost to Arizona over the weekend. Fox’s “Big Noon Kickoff” will be in town for the game.

Utah (8-2, 5-2 Big 12) also moved up in the polls, jumping two spots to No. 13 in the AP rankings, with 795 points.

The Utes are No. 14 in the Coaches poll with 748 points, moving up one spot.

Utah will host Kansas State next Saturday (2 p.m. MST, ESPN2) in the Utes’ home finale. They remain in the conference hunt with two weeks remaining in the regular season. Utah’s hopes hinge on either Texas Tech or BYU losing another regular-season game.

Which Big 12 teams are ranked following Week 12?

There are four Big 12 teams in the national top 25 rankings this week, led by Texas Tech.

The Red Raiders (10-1, 7-1 Big 12) moved up two spots to No. 6 in the AP rankings and one spot to No. 7 in the US LBM Coaches poll after their 48-9 win over UCF.

Idle Houston (8-2, 5-2 Big 12) jumped back into the rankings this week, coming in at No. 25 in the AP rankings and No. 24 in the Coaches poll.

When are this week’s College Football Playoff rankings released?

The third of six College Football Playoff rankings will be unveiled on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. MST. The rankings will be revealed on ESPN.

BYU was ranked No. 12 in last week’s CFP rankings, one spot ahead of No. 13 Utah. Texas Tech was the top-ranked Big 12 team at No. 6.

CFP rankings will be released each Tuesday for five weeks before the final rankings — and playoff field — are unveiled on Sunday, Dec. 7.
