Utah offensive tackle Spencer Fano was named the Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year and Ute quarterback Devon Dampier was named the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year as the Utes landed 17 players on the conference’s year-end awards list.

Projected first-round draft pick Fano earned his honor after a stellar season. Utah’s offensive line was one of the best in the country and Fano earned a 84.8 grade from Pro Football Focus and is ranking among the 10 best tackles in college football this season.

Fano is also a finalist for the Outland Trophy, awarded to the best lineman on either offense or defense.

Dampier, meanwhile, helped turn around Utah’s offense this season, throwing for 2,180 yards and 22 touchdowns and rushing for 687 yards and seven touchdowns.

He helped guide the Utes’ offense from the basement in 2024 to the No. 6 scoring offense in football (40.9 points per game).

Fano, offensive tackle Caleb Lomu and defensive end John Henry Daley were named to the All-Big 12 First Team.

Lomu had a good season at left tackle, earning a PFF grade of 68.5, and will be selected in the NFL draft if he chooses to enter. Lomu and the rest of Utah’s offensive line powered the Utes to 269.8 rushing yards per game — second best in the nation.
