BYU added to its program-best 2026 recruiting class on Friday by picking up the commitment of Lone Peak receivers Jaron Pula and Kennan Pula.
The Lone Peak twins had been committed to Utah since July, but didn’t sign with the Utes when the early signing period opened on Wednesday. Instead, they’ll play for Kalani Sitake and BYU after switching their commitment to the Cougars on Friday and officially signing with the school.
Jaron, a 247Sports composite four-star receiver, had 62 receptions for 938 yards and 11 touchdowns this season for Lone Peak.
He’s ranked as the No. 8 overall prospect in Utah by 247Sports composite and the No. 48 receiver nationally.
Kennan, a composite three-star athlete, had 44 receptions for 596 yards and six touchdowns in his senior season. He also played defense, totaling 33 tackles, an interception and three pass breakups.
Kennan is ranked as the No. 10 overall prospect in Utah by 247Sports composite and the No. 26 athlete nationally.
Kennan made one of the most specular interceptions you’ll see at any level in this year’s 6A semifinals, leaping for a one-handed interception.
The addition of Jaron Pula gives the Cougars seven four-star prospects in this class.
BYU has the No. 21 class in the 2026 cycle and the second-best in the Big 12, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
