The Utah Utes football team reportedly has both its bowl location and opponent determined.

On Saturday, On3’s Brett McMurphy first reported that Utah would be going to the Las Vegas Bowl and face an opponent from the Big Ten Conference. Later, McMurphy reported that Nebraska would be going to the Las Vegas Bowl.

Ergo, McMurphy reported that the Utes and Cornhuskers will square off in the early afternoon game on Dec. 27.

It has been widely thought for a relative while now that Utah (10-2) would be headed to the Las Vegas Bowl, and in recent days there became a more prevalent thought that Nebraska (7-5) would be the opponent.

The two sides have played four times in history, with the Cornhuskers winning all four matchups, with three coming by at least 27 points (it was a 12-point margin in the other).

However, all of those games occurred between 1968 and 1992, and all were at home for Nebraska.

This year’s game is scheduled to kick off at 12:30 p.m. PT on the 27th and will be played at Allegiant Stadium, home of the Las Vegas Raiders.
