After defeating California Baptist 91-60, BYU dropped one spot in the latest AP Top 25.

The Cougars fell from No. 9 to No. 10 due to Gonzaga rising to No. 8 after a 94-59 beatdown of Mark Pope’s Kentucky Wildcats and Iowa State moving from No. 10 to No. 4 after an 81-58 blowout of Purdue.

After an early-season loss to then-No. 3 UConn, the Cougars have rolled over four straight opponents, including a 98-70 win over Wisconsin, which was ranked No. 23 at the time.

Up next, BYU plays Clemson, which received votes in Monday’s poll, on Tuesday in New York City. The Cougars will finish the week with a home game vs. UC Riverside on Saturday.

The Big 12 looks to be shaping up as the best basketball conference in the country. Arizona topped this week’s poll, and Iowa State (No. 4), Houston (No. 7), BYU (No. 10), Texas Tech (No. 16) and Kansas (No. 19) were all within the top 20.
