Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen was ejected from an NBA Cup game Wednesday night after shoving Oklahoma City center Chet Holmgren to the floor.

After the foul, the teams angrily ran at each other before being separated without incident.

The play was reviewed by officials and the foul was upgraded to a flagrant foul 2 and Allen was ejected. Oklahoma City sailed to an easy 138-89 win.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s reaction to the play got arguably more attention on social media than the play itself.

Allen has a reputation for such plays after multiple tripping incidents while at Duke and early in his NBA career.
