Utah’s brothers in the trenches are making their move to the NFL together.
Offensive tackle Spencer Fano and defensive end Logan Fano announced Thursday that they are declaring for the 2026 NFL draft.
“First and foremost, we give thanks to our Heavenly Father. We are deeply grateful for the blessings, opportunities and guidance He has provided, and for allowing us to play the game we love. We recognize that every door opened, every challenge overcome, and every moment that led us here has been made possible through His grace and guidance,” the Fano brothers said in a joint announcement on social media.
They continued: “As brothers, we’ve been blessed to share a lifetime of moments — some small, some unforgettable. From arguing in the back of mom’s Suburban to walking out of the tunnel at Rice-Eccles, experiencing life’s biggest moments side by side has been a gift. Over the past few years, that bond extended to the field, as we had the honor of representing the University of Utah together and serving as team captains this season.
“It feels only right that we take this next step the same way we’ve taken every meaningful one — together. With gratitude and excitement, we are declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft and embracing the journey ahead."
The pair join offensive tackle Caleb Lomu, who declared for the draft a day earlier.
Spencer Fano joined the Utes program in 2023 as one of the top-rated offensive line recruits to ever sign with Utah.
His brother Logan spent one season at BYU before transferring to Utah in 2023, where the brothers played together the past three seasons.
Spencer Fano, like Lomu, is a projected first-round draft pick. Many NFL draft experts have Spencer Fano ranked as the first offensive tackle to be taken in the upcoming draft.
Spencer Fano earned unanimous All-American status on Thursday and had already won the Outland Trophy (college football’s top interior lineman) and Big 12 offensive lineman of the year honors.
The junior started 35 games over his three seasons at Utah. He started as a freshman, primarily at left tackle, before moving over to the right side full-time as a sophomore.
Logan Fano was a starter the past two seasons for Utah and, along with his brother, served as a team captain in 2025. During his time at the school, he’s had 82 tackles, 10.5 sacks, four pass deflections, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
