BYU just retained a key piece to its defense.
Cougars linebacker Isaiah Glasker will return to Provo for his senior campaign in 2026, he announced Tuesday via social media.
Glasker burst onto the scene in 2024, leading BYU with 70 tackles and adding 3.5 sacks, three interceptions, five passes defended, a forced fumble and pick-six.
Though not entirely healthy throughout the season, Glasker was productive again in 2025, recording 66 tackles with three sacks and two interceptions, including the game-winning pick on the road against Colorado.
The former walk-on from Bingham High will headline BYU’s linebacking corps in 2026 along with Siale Esera, Max Alford, Miles Hall, Ace Kaufusi, Choé Bryant-Strother and whoever else the Cougars may add from the transfer portal.
In addition to Glasker, BYU has had a number of notable players announce their returns for 2026, including safety Faletau Satuala, defensive tackle Keanu Tanuvasa and wide receiver Parker Kingston.
