After announcing on Dec. 8 that he would be entering the transfer portal, former Corner Canyon High and Utah Utes quarterback Isaac Wilson officially has his new destination settled — and it’s with one of the biggest personalities in college football.
On Sunday evening, the Colorado Buffaloes announced that Wilson has signed with the program, joining head coach Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders.
247 Sports’ Blair Angulo had reported on Jan. 7 that Wilson would be committing to Colorado.
The 6-foot, 212-pound Wilson was considered one of the best high school quarterback prospects in the country in the Class of 2024, but he mostly struggled in two seasons at Utah.
As a freshman Wilson was thrust into action after Ute starting signal caller Cam Rising got hurt and threw for 1,510 yards with 10 touchdowns against 11 interceptions in 2024 as Utah went just 5-7.
Wilson contemplated transferring after that season but returned to the Utes in 2025 only to end up attempting one pass (an incompletion) on the campaign.
The Colorado quarterback room is in position to have a heavy dose of Beehive State influence in 2026. Sophomore Julian Lewis is expected to be the starter, but as of right now, the next two signal callers on the depth chart are expected to be Wilson and incoming freshman Kaneal Sweetwyne, who prepped at Skyridge High.
