The drill team state championship finals are set after exciting 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A and 2A semifinals the past two days at UVU.

The 4A state tournament kicks things off at 10 a.m. on Friday with nine teams vying for the state title — Bear River, Cedar, Crimson Cliffs, Desert Hills, Ridgeline, Sky View, Snow Canyon and Stansbury.

Hillcrest has won the past two 4A state titles, but the Huskies are competing in 5A this year so there will be a new state champ.

The 3A and 2A championships will run concurrently beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday at UVU.

Canyon View has won the past four 3A state titles, while Duchesne has captured the past two 2A championships.

The 3A teams who advanced to the finals along with Canyon View are Grantsville, Juab, Logan, Manti, Morgan, Ogden, Richfield and Union.

In 2A, joining Duchesne in the finals are Beaver, Enterprise, Grand, Gunnison Valley, Kanab, North Summit, South Sevier and South Summit.

On Saturday, the big schools hit the floor with 6A opening things up at 10 a.m.
