High school boys wrestling: Altamont, Panguitch prevail at 1A state-qualifying Division meets

The 1A boys state qualifying Division meets were held on Friday, with wrestlers officially qualifying for the 2026 state tournaments.

Altamont and six-time defending state champ Panguitch won their respective Division meets, with Altamont qualifying 19 wrestlers for state and Panguitch qualifying 16.

The teams finished first and second at last year’s 1A state meet.

The boys 1A state tournament will be held at the Sevier Valley Center on Feb. 13-14.

Panguitch’s Kole Fullmer will be aiming for a 3-peat at 175 pounds at the state meet.

Panguitch’s Mitch Dodds, Altamont’s Levi Scott, Milford’s Boston Thompson and Panguitch’s Maverick Albrecht are seeking a 1A repeat at state.
