High school swimming: 2A region championship recaps

Here’s a recap of the results from this past week’s two region swimming meets in Class 2A as the teams prepare for the first 2A-only state tournament at BYU on Feb. 12 at 5 p.m..

The two region champions for the girls were South Summit and Grand, while the two boys region champs were South Summit and Gunnison Valley.

Among the region meet highlights were South Summit’s Allison Henneuse breaking the 2A state record in both the 50 and 100 freestyle. She’s try and lower the state records even further at the state meet.
