Uintah 51, Highland 23

Uintah secured a dominant win over Highland 51-23 in the first round of the 4A playoffs. The Utes built a commanding lead by outscoring Highland 16-5 in the first quarter and maintained their advantage throughout the game. Kenadie Maughan led Uintah with 14 points, while Izzie Lawson added 13. Despite Vada Foster’s 13-point effort, Highland couldn’t keep up with Uintah’s offensive surge. Uintah advances to play No. 5 Snow Canyon in the next round.

Mountain View 42, Murray 35

Mountain View defeated Murray 42-35 in the first round of the 4A playoffs. Saralynn Hair led the Bruins with 15 points, while Liv Rasmussen contributed two 3-pointers for a total of nine points. Addison Allen topped Murray’s scoring with 10 points, including two 3-pointers. Mountain View advances to face No. 7 Ridgeline in the second round.

Judge Memorial 54, Bear River 47

Judge Memorial defeated Bear River 54-47 in the first round of the 4A playoffs. Munah Doe led the Bulldogs with 17 points, while Lyvia Candilora made four 3-pointers to contribute 16 points. For Bear River, Ava Driggs tallied 10 points and two 3-pointers. Judge Memorial advances to face No. 4 Desert Hills in the second round.

Cottonwood 39, Jordan 37

Cottonwood edged Jordan 39-37 in a nail biter during the first round of the 4A playoffs. Belle Kellywood led the Colts with 11 points, including two 3-pointers, while Savannah Staheli added 10 points with three 3-pointers. Bergen Jettie was the leading scorer for Jordan, contributing 12 points and sinking one 3-pointer. Cottonwood will advance to face No. 1 Dixie in the second round.

Tooele 53, Hurricane 36

Tooele defeated Hurricane 53-36 in the first round of the 4A playoffs. Tooele pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring Hurricane 16-3 to secure the win. Halle Hogan led the Buffaloes with 20 points, featuring four 3-pointers, while Camila Lora added 11 points. Hurricane’s Laynee Walker scored 16 points, including four 3-pointers. Tooele advances to face No. 2 Green Canyon in the second round.

Timpanogos 77, Deseret Peak 36

No. 9 Timpanogos defeated No. 24 Deseret Peak 77-36 in the first round of the 4A playoffs, advancing to face No. 8 Provo in the second round. MaKayla Boyer led the Timberwolves with 26 points, including seven 3-pointers, helping Timpanogos build a commanding 47-25 halftime lead. Elizabeth Adams contributed 13 points and three 3-pointers, while Sydnie Lee added eight points and two 3-pointers for the Timberwolves. Vaoahi Fonua was the leading scorer for Deseret Peak with 13 points.

Park City 55, Cedar City 49

Park City defeated Cedar City 55-49 in the first round of the 4A playoffs. Avery Johnson led the Miners with 17 points, including two 3-pointers, while Cedar City’s Gabby Gomez recorded 18 points and three 3-pointers. The Miners built a substantial lead by outscoring Cedar City 17-2 in the second quarter and held off a strong fourth-quarter rally from the Reds. Park City advances to face No. 6 Mountain Crest in the second round.

Sky View 60, Crimson Cliffs 42

Sky View defeated Crimson Cliffs 60-42 in the first round of the 4A playoffs. Mollee Allen led Sky View with 23 points, including three 3-pointers, while Liv McKay added 14 points and two 3-pointers. Josie Myers was the leading scorer for Crimson Cliffs with 19 points. Sky View opened up a lead by outscoring Crimson Cliffs 17-10 in the second quarter and will advance to play No. 3 Pine View in the second round.

2A Playoffs

North Sevier 59, Parowan 10

North Sevier dominated Parowan 59-10 in the first round of the 2A playoffs. Leading 25-2 after the first quarter, North Sevier never looked back as Megan Mecham scored 11 points and Oaklee Carter contributed six points, including two 3-pointers. Parowan’s Kailynn Shannon and Wylee Renzello each scored four points. North Sevier advances to face No. 7 Millard on Feb. 14.

American Heritage 83, Rowland Hall 14

American Heritage dominated Rowland Hall 83-14 in the first round of the 4A playoffs. Brinley Hall led the Patriots with 21 points, including five 3-pointers, while Ellie Reed added 16 points with two 3-pointers. Lila Bates scored six points for Rowland Hall. With the win, American Heritage advances to play No. 8 San Juan in the second round.

Intermountain Christian 65, Vanguard 31

Intermountain Christian defeated Vanguard 65-31 in a 2A playoff first-round matchup. With this victory, the Lions advance to face No. 3 Enterprise in the second round.

South Sevier 45, Grand 34

South Sevier defeated Grand 45-34 in the first round of the 2A playoffs, advancing to play No. 2 Beaver in the next round. The Rams pulled away with a strong third quarter, outscoring Grand 20-11 to build a decisive lead. Tenley Brown led South Sevier with 14 points, while Kenadie Allen added 11. Chloe Byrd was the leading scorer for Grand, tallying 13 points.

Gunnison Valley 63, APA West Valley 19

Gunnison Valley dominated APA West Valley 63-19 in the first round of the 2A playoffs. Gunnison Valley, led by Rylee Bartholomew’s 25 points, took control early with a 20-4 lead in the first quarter and sealed the victory with a 21-0 run in the fourth. Bryler Blackburn added 14 points for the Bulldogs. Gunnison Valley advances to face No. 6 Draper APA in the second round.

South Summit 51, Rockwell 21

South Summit defeated Rockwell 51-21 in the first round of the 2A playoffs. The Wildcats dominated early, jumping to a 17-3 lead by the end of the first quarter. Ruby Clegg and Ashton Arnout led South Summit with 10 points each, while Brianna Jenson scored 6 for Rockwell, including two 3-pointers. South Summit advances to face No. 1 Kanab in the second round.

Maeser Prep 36, American Leadership 29

Maeser Prep defeated American Leadership 36-29 in the first round of the 2A playoffs. Lillian Nolan led the Lions with a standout performance, scoring 19 points and hitting five 3-pointers. Preslee Orton paced the Eagles with eight points, including two 3-pointers. Maeser Prep will advance to face North Summit in the second round.

Waterford 53, Freedom Prep Academy 43

Waterford advanced to face No. 5 Duchesne in the second round of the 2A playoffs, defeating Freedom Prep Academy 53-43. A strong third quarter, where the Ravens outscored the Eagles 21-6, was pivotal for Waterford’s victory. Berklee Hasebi led Waterford’s attack with 20 points, including two 3-pointers, while Kenley Carter added 15 points with five 3-pointers. Daniela Jimenez-Ferrari was the standout for Freedom Prep, scoring 34 points in the loss.
