In a 4A state tournament matchup, No. 5 Snow Canyon pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat No. 12 Uintah 58-49. The Warriors were led by Falynn Randall, who scored 16 points, and Braylee Chesley, who added 14 points, including a 3-pointer. Uintah’s Kenadie Maughan kept the game competitive with 16 points of her own, supported by Jaevry Elison’s 14 points, but couldn’t close the gap in the final stretch. The win advances Snow Canyon further in the tournament, while Uintah’s run comes to an end.

Green Canyon 51, Tooele 31

No. 2 Green Canyon defeated No. 15 Tooele 51-31 in the second round of the Class 4A state tournament. Halle Hunter led the Wolves with 15 points, helping them maintain a solid lead after outscoring the Buffaloes 13-4 in the first quarter. Kloey Tensmeyer added 14 points for Green Canyon, while Macie Gustin was Tooele’s top scorer with nine points. The Wolves move on to face the winner of another second-round matchup in their quest to continue in the playoffs.

Desert Hills 47, Judge Memorial 42

No. 4 Desert Hills edged past No. 13 Judge Memorial 47-42 in the second round of the Class 4A state tournament. Desert Hills advanced despite a strong challenge from Judge Memorial’s offense. This win allows the Thunder to move forward in the UHSAA bracket.

Ridgeline 43, Mountain View 27

Ridgeline secured a 43-27 win over Mountain View in the Class 4A state tournament second round. Abby Munford led Ridgeline with 13 points, while Brooke Smith contributed 12 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Ridgeline pulled away by outscoring Mountain View 15-10 in the third quarter. Saralynn Hair led Mountain View with nine points.

Pine View 52, Sky View 44

No. 3 Pine View defeated No. 14 Sky View 52-44 in the second round of the Class 4A state tournament. Reese Gustin led Pine View with 19 points, including four 3-pointers, while Ella Fiefia added 11 points and three 3-pointers. For Sky View, Mollee Allen recorded 13 points with two 3-pointers. Pine View established an early lead, outscoring Sky View 22-11 in the first quarter and maintained control to secure the victory.

Mountain Crest 73, Park City 27

Mountain Crest cruised to a decisive 73-27 victory over Park City in the second round of the 4A state tournament. The Mustangs opened up a commanding lead with a 23-6 first quarter. Bella Carroll’s 18 points, including two 3-pointers, and Emersyn Brown’s 17 points, featuring two 3-pointers, led Mountain Crest. For Park City, Avery Johnson scored 13 points and hit two from beyond the arc.

Provo 58, Timpanogos 55

Provo narrowly defeated Timpanogos 58-55 in the second round of the Class 4A state tournament. Asha Aletto led the Bulldogs with 14 points, while MaKayla Boyer was the leading scorer for the Timberwolves with 17 points. After a strong second quarter, Provo established a comfortable halftime lead, outscoring Timpanogos 21-8. Despite a late surge from the Timberwolves in the third quarter, Provo managed to hold on for the victory.

Dixie 70, Cottonwood 22

Top-seeded Dixie defeated No. 16 Cottonwood with a commanding 70-22 victory in the Class 4A state second round. The Flyers solidified their lead early by outscoring Cottonwood 27-10 in the first quarter, creating a comfortable cushion they maintained throughout the game. Lydia Shurtliff led Dixie with 15 points, while Addison Winters contributed 14, and Hayden Stilson added 13. Carley Caton was the high scorer for Cottonwood with eight points.

Layton Christian 57, Manti 41

Layton Christian, ranked No. 5, downed No. 12 Manti 57-41 in the Class 3A state tournament, powered by Ava Smith’s outstanding 28-point performance. The Eagles took control by outscoring the Templars 18-8 in the second quarter, establishing a commanding lead by halftime. Manti’s Madelyn Bridges led her team with 15 points, including three 3-pointers, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap. Sofia Olaya added 10 points for Layton Christian, which held on despite a sluggish fourth quarter.

Morgan 44, Ogden 42

No. 6 Morgan edged No. 11 Ogden 44-42 in the first round of the Class 3A state tournament. Morgan’s Zoe Rockenfield led the Trojans with 12 points, including two 3-pointers, while Bella Nelson added 11 points and also hit two 3-pointers. Lauretta Taukiuvea was the leading scorer for Ogden with 15 points. Despite Ogden’s strong 13-point third quarter, Morgan maintained composure to secure the close win.

Union 46, Richfield 43

No. 8 Union narrowly beat No. 9 Richfield 46-43 in the Class 3A state tournament. Union’s Halle Oakey was instrumental, scoring 14 points, while teammate Lisa Richards added 10. Richfield’s effort was led by Braylee Penney and Kinlee Barney, both scoring 14 and 12 points respectively. Union pulled ahead in the third quarter with a 17-11 surge that proved crucial for the victory.

Emery 51, Providence Hall 11

No. 3 Emery dominated No. 14 Providence Hall with a resounding 51-11 victory in the Class 3A state tournament, advancing to the second round. Aleeyah Cowley led Emery’s charge with 18 points, while KaBree Gordon contributed 12 points, including two 3-pointers. Emery built a commanding lead by outscoring Providence Hall 30-2 in the first half. Providence Hall’s Athena Herrera was the top scorer for her team with just four points.

Grantsville 54, Carbon 45

Grantsville topped Carbon 54-45 in the first round of the Class 3A state tournament. The Cowboys pulled away with a decisive 17-point fourth quarter, overcoming a tense match in the third quarter where Carbon narrowed the gap with just a five-point output. Kamry Allen led Grantsville with 15 points, while Emmy Butler added 14 and hit one 3-pointer. Malia Smith and Elsie Morley each scored 10 points for Carbon.

Canyon View 38, Juab 35

Canyon View held off Juab 38-35, with Erin Hallows leading the Falcons with 13 points in the Class 3A state tournament. Cambry Hall tallied 11 points for Juab, including two 3-pointers, as the Wasps rallied in the fourth quarter but could not close the gap. Kambree Potter added eight points for Canyon View, also hitting two 3-pointers. Despite their efforts, Juab’s comeback fell short in the end.

North Sanpete 85, Logan 24

No. 2 North Sanpete dominated No. 15 Logan 85-24 in the Class 3A state tournament’s first round. North Sanpete built a commanding 55-11 lead by halftime, with Mariah Schlappi leading the Hawks with 26 points, including two 3-pointers. Malia Schlappi added 14 points and two 3-pointers, while Elsie Bailey contributed 11 points. The Hawks’ relentless defense held Logan to a combined four points in the first and third quarters.

Delta 65, Ben Lomond 19

Top-seeded Delta routed No. 16 Ben Lomond 65-19 in the Class 3A state tournament’s first round. Delta dominated early, outscoring the Scots 19-4 in the first quarter to set the tone. Joslyn Christiansen led Delta with 18 points, including two 3-pointers, while Madison Eliason added 14 points and a 3-pointer. Nhyema Simpson was the leading scorer for Ben Lomond, tallying 10 points with two 3-pointers.

Beaver 59, South Sevier 34

No. 2 Beaver defeated No. 15 South Sevier 59-34 in the Class 2A state tournament’s second round. Beaver outscored South Sevier 16-6 in the third quarter to extend its lead and secure the win. Ruby Lurth led Beaver with 16 points, while Brittni Crum added 13 points, including two 3-pointers. Tenley Brown was South Sevier’s top scorer with 10 points, including two 3-pointers.

Millard 53, North Sevier 37

In the Class 2A state tournament, No. 7 Millard secured a 53-37 victory over No. 10 North Sevier. Millard pulled away with a 19-16 edge in the second quarter to build a comfortable lead, with Blakelie Davies leading her team by scoring 26 points. Olivia Bassett added three 3-pointers and totaled 10 points for the Eagles. North Sevier’s AnnaLyne James led her squad with 12 points in the loss.

Duchesne 59, Waterford 19

No. 5 Duchesne dominated No. 12 Waterford 59-19 in the second round of the Class 2A state tournament. Duchesne opened up a large lead early by outscoring Waterford 19-5 in the second quarter and maintaining control throughout the game. Kira Grant led Duchesne with 20 points and three 3-pointers, while Kenley Carter paced Waterford with 11 points and three 3-pointers. Duchesne advances to the quarterfinals, continuing its strong season.

Draper APA 43, Gunnison Valley 32

Sixth-seeded Draper APA defeated No. 11 Gunnison Valley 46-29 in the second round of the Class 2A state tournament. The Eagles built a lead early, outscoring the Bulldogs 14-2 in the first quarter. Kate LeRoy led Draper APA with 12 points, including two 3-pointers, while Bailey Bluth contributed three 3-pointers for nine points. Bryler Blackburn led Gunnison Valley with 10 points.

Kanab 59, South Summit 34

Top-seeded Kanab defeated No. 17 South Summit 59-34 in the Class 2A state tournament’s second round. Kaycee Castagno led Kanab with a standout performance, scoring 22 points and making a 3-pointer. Jaydee Houston contributed with 11 points and two 3-pointers, while Karter Glazier added 8 points and two 3-pointers. South Summit’s Ruby Clegg scored 14 points, hitting four 3-pointers, but the team couldn’t keep pace as Kanab built a solid lead by outscoring South Summit in each of the first three quarters.

North Summit 59, Maeser Prep 23

No. 4 North Summit cruised past No. 13 Maeser Prep 59-23 in the Class 2A state tournament, spurred by a strong third quarter where it outscored Maeser Prep 24-5. Ellie Stephens led North Summit with a standout performance, recording 27 points. For Maeser Prep, Hazel Leeper contributed 10 points, including two 3-pointers.

Enterprise 74, Intermountain Christian 33

Enterprise defeated Intermountain Christian 74-33 in the second round of the Class 2A state tournament. The Wolves outscored ICS 31-10 in the first quarter and maintained the lead with a strong second quarter to secure a comfortable halftime advantage. Hadlee Holt was outstanding for Enterprise, scoring 19 points, while Jaycee Barlow contributed 17 points. Kendrick Lusk led ICS with 12 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Enterprise’s dominance.

San Juan 60, American Heritage 50

San Juan defeated American Heritage 60-50 in the Class 2A state tournament’s second round. Kaidence Mitchell led the Broncos with 17 points, while Brooklyn Lameman contributed 16 points, including four 3-pointers. For American Heritage, Minna Paulson recorded 17 points, with two 3-pointers, keeping the visitors competitive. San Juan, seeded eighth, established an early lead with a 17-10 advantage in the first quarter and maintained control throughout the game.
