The Cougars came in at No. 23 in Monday’s latest AP Top 25 poll, their lowest mark of the year after landing at No. 7 in the preseason rankings.
BYU is the lowest-ranked Big 12 squad out of six ranked teams from the conference, joining No. 2 Houston, No. 4 Arizona, No. 6 Iowa State, No. 8 Kansas and No. 13 Texas Tech.
In KenPom, the Cougars are ranked No. 22, while coming in at No. 20 in NET.
BYU will hit the road for a rematch with No. 4 Arizona on Wednesday before returning to Provo to host No. 6 Iowa State on Saturday.
But the Cougars will face the pair of top-10 teams without the services of their veteran star Richie Saunders, who was ruled out for the season with a torn ACL suffered in Saturday’s victory over Colorado.
