After capturing the Mountain West regular season and tournament titles, Utah State is ready for another trip to the NCAA Tournament.

The Aggies have earned a 9 seed in the West Region. They will face Villanova in the Round of 64 on Friday in San Diego, as announced during Sunday’s bracket reveal show on CBS.

This will be Utah State’s fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance and 27th ticket to the Big Dance in program history.

In Jerrod Calhoun’s first season with the program last year, the Aggies fell 72-47 to UCLA in a 7-10 round of 64 matchup.

Since the school’s last Sweet 16 appearance in 1970, Utah State has a 2-20 record in NCAA Tournament contests, with the most recent such win coming in 2024 against 9-seeded TCU.

Villanova ranks No. 33 in KenPom, having gone 24-8 in Kevin Willard’s first year piloting the Wildcats to finish third in the Big East.

Should the Aggies take care of business Friday against Villanova, they would face the winner of a 1-16 matchup between Arizona and LIU on Sunday.
