Week 4 of the high school track season was a busy one, including a pair of new overall state records.

A week after Bonneville’s Davis DeGroot and Weber’s Josh Hamblin set new state records, the duo did so again in different events last week — at the same meet no less.

DeGroot set a new 200-meter state record with a time of 20.68 at the Burchell-Armstrong City-County meet at Roy High School last Tuesday. He eclipsed the previous state record of 20.84 set by Corner Canyon’s Jerome Myles in 2024.

The week prior DeGroot set a new all-time state record in the 400 meters with a time of 45.46.

At the same Burchell-Armstrong meet, Hamblin officially established himself as the undisputed hurdle king of Utah.

A week after breaking his own record in the 110 hurdles, the Weber senior broke the 300 hurdles state record with a blistering time of 35.92. It eclipsed the decade-old mark set of 36.30 by Woods Cross’ Cameron Dopp in 2013.

Here’s a look at the top boys and girls track and field performances at UHSAA sanctioned events in all 38 events after the second week of the season.

Individuals are only listed once if they have multiple top-15 results in the same event; wind times are not included. Only performances at in-state sanctioned meets are included as organized by meettrax.com. A complete list beyond the top 15 can be found at sporttrax.com.
