Another BYU player is headed out the door.

Cougars guard Kennard Davis Jr. has entered the transfer portal, according to a report from Joe Tipton of On3 Sports.

Davis appeared in 32 games during his lone campaign in Provo, averaging 8.5 points and 2.7 rebounds per contest while shooting 39.5% from the field.

Despite a solid showing down the stretch, the Southern Illinois transfer struggled to find consistency as a Cougar, never fully emerging as the strong 3-point shooter and defensive weapon Kevin Young and his staff hoped he would be at BYU.

Additionally, Davis served a 2-game suspension in November for violating BYU’s honor code.

Davis will have one remaining season of eligibility at his next school. He joins Xavion Staton, Rob Wright III and Dominique Diomande as BYU’s portal departures thus far in the offseason.
