BYU is 101 days away from opening the 2026 football campaign.

And now the Cougars know exactly when some of those early-season contests will begin — and how fans can tune in.

The Big 12 and its television partners have announced the opening broadcast schedule for 2026, providing kickoff times and television designations for four BYU games:

  • Sept. 5 vs. Utah Tech — 6 p.m. MDT on ESPN+
  • Sept. 12 vs. Arizona — 1:30 p.m. MDT on Fox
  • Sept. 19 at Colorado State — 5:30 p.m. MDT on CBS
  • Oct. 9 vs. Iowa State — 8:15 p.m. MDT on ESPN

The remainder of BYU’s scheduled matchups will receive kickoff times and TV assignments at a later date, including Oct. 17’s highly-anticipated clash with Notre Dame in Provo.

The Big 12 is entering the second year of a six-year, $2.28 billion media rights deal with ESPN, Fox Sports and TNT Sports.

BYU is no stranger to appearing on ESPN or Fox networks, but the Cougars have yet to play a Big 12 football game on TNT.

The Big 12 football championship game, which BYU participated in this past season, will be played on Friday, Dec. 4, at AT&T Stadium and broadcast on ABC.
