Preston Higgins also contributed significantly, scoring on a 21-yard pass with 4:33 in the second quarter and a 50-yard run in the third. The Rams (0-3) managed two touchdowns in the third quarter, but failed to score in the fourth.

Juab (2-1) surged to a decisive victory over South Summit (2-1) with a dominant first quarter in their nonregion matchup, winning 34-13. The Wasps jumped to an early lead with Quentin Robinson catching a 41-yard touchdown pass from Price Armstrong at 10:35 in the first quarter. Armstrong later connected with Keaton Vance and Tillman Yama each for additional scores, finishing the quarter 20-0. South Summit’s Brody Larsen finally got the Wildcats on the board with an 18-yard run at 5:10 in the second quarter, but Juab maintained control, with a notable 22-yard punt return touchdown by Justus Reynolds early in the third quarter. South Summit managed a late touchdown with 6:50 left in the fourth, but it was too little, too late.

Filisi Filipe powered Herriman (3-0) to a commanding 55-7 victory over West Jordan in a nonregion game, scoring six touchdowns on the ground. The Mustangs took control early, with Filipe’s 5-yard run putting Herriman ahead first. Lexen Rivera briefly closed the gap for the Jaguars (0-3) with an 18-yard pass from Kenyon Shockey, but Herriman responded with a series of runs, including 33-yard and 62-yard touchdowns, again by Filipe, to build a commanding 42-7 lead. The Mustangs’ defense then shut out West Jordan for the rest of the game, while their offense continued to dominate.

Layton (2-1) dominated the nonregion game against Clearfield (2-1) with a shutout 47-0 victory. The Lancers jumped out to a fast start, as Carter Hughes caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Tillman Thomas. Darius Faamoe then extended the lead with a 41-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown. Thomas added three more touchdown passes. Karsen Turner’s 35-yard touchdown run at 4:11 in the third quarter capped the scoring and caused the mercy-rule victory.

Elijah Woods’ 22-yard touchdown run with 6:33 left in the fourth quarter led the West Field Longhorns to a 7-0 victory over the Ogden Tigers in a nonregion matchup. The Longhorns’ defense held strong throughout the game, maintaining a shutout and keeping Ogden off the scoreboard. West Field improves to 1-2, while Ogden falls to 1-2.

The Campbell Sabers, HI pulled away in a nonregion game with a 48-27 victory over Pine View (2-1) thanks to a potent fourth quarter. The Sabers scored 20 unanswered points in the fourth after the Panthers had narrowed the gap with a 21-yard field goal by Russell Jacobs at 7:09 in the third quarter. Pine View’s Coy Doman connected with Max Yocham on a 1-yard touchdown pass with 45 seconds remaining, but it wasn’t enough to overcome the deficit.
