Authorities put up a white tent outside the home of Nancy Guthrie right before 8 a.m. on Thursday as the investigation into the Arizona woman’s disappearance continues.
For roughly an hour, this tent blocked the front entrance of the woman’s home, where the doorbell surveillance camera is located.
As the investigation continued at the Guthrie home, “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, in her latest post, shared home videos featuring her siblings, her mom and herself, alongside the caption, “We will never give up on her.”
On Thursday evening, the FBI also doubled the award from $50,000 to $100,000 for any information related to this case.
They also released more details about the suspect, describing him as “a male, approximately 5’9” - 5’10” tall, with an average build."
Latest evidence in the Nancy Guthrie case
Nancy Guthrie, 84, went missing on Feb. 1. Her daughter, Savannah Guthrie, has publicly pleaded for her safe return and said that Nancy Guthrie’s health made her vulnerable.
On Wednesday, authorities conducted searches along multiple roadways in the Catalina Foothills area, where the Guthrie family lived.
They took two black gloves discarded on the side of the road into evidence, according to CNN. They were found roughly 2 miles away from the Guthrie home. The authorities are testing the gloves to see whether they match the ones worn by the person in the surveillance video.

The FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have received more than 18,000 calls since Guthrie was first reported missing on Feb. 1. The authorities saw an influx of calls after the FBI released clips of the recovered surveillance video of a person attempting to cover the doorbell camera.
One lead fizzles out
Aside from the gloves, the authorities had another lead in the case when they took a delivery driver in for questioning.
Carlos Palazuelos was detained during a traffic stop. He was questioned and released at midnight, as the Deseret News reported.
He denied any connection to her disappearance, describing the experience as “terrifying.”
“Something I didn’t do. I felt like I was being kidnapped, bro. They didn’t tell me anything,” he told Ford Hatchett from ABC News’ Phoenix affiliate.
Despite Savannah Guthrie’s several public messages addressing two ransom notes sent to local news outlets and promising to pay, the Guthrie family has not heard from the potential abductors.
In a post earlier this week, Savannah Guthrie wrote, “Someone out there recognizes this person. We believe she is still out there,” alongside the surveillance video.
