Every year, the job application and hiring platform Glassdoor uses the information on its site to rank the 50 best jobs in America.

Which jobs made the cut? The concise answer: tech.

CNBC reported that seven of the top 10 jobs were in tech, with front-end engineers winning the coveted position of 2020’s best job.

Front-end engineers are in high demand right now, reports MarketWatch, as any company that relies on a website needs a good front-end engineer.

Other notable jobs included Java developers, speech language pathologists and human resource managers.

What makes a job one of the best? Glassdoor combines the data on a particular position’s salary, job satisfaction and job openings to decide where it ranks, according to CNBC.

Glassdoor also researched what kinds of perks increased employee satisfaction and found workplace health and dental insurance, paid vacation/time off, 401(k), retirement plans and parental leave to be the most important, according to MarketWatch

For those looking to break into a new field, and hopefully break the bank, MarketWatch suggested pharmacy jobs, which often require no previous work experience but come with a six-figure salary.

Glassdoor also ranks the best places to work, highest paying jobs (no surprises here, physicians came in first), best cities for jobs (Salt Lake City didn’t make the list), and the top CEOs.
