Regeneron hopes the Food and Drug Administration will allow the company to have emergency use authorization” for the antibody treatment taken by President Donald Trump last week.
- Trump took the REGN-COV2 monoclonal antibody coronavirus therapy after he became diagnosed with COVID-19.
Trump called the treatment a “cure.” In a five-minute video, Trump said getting COVID-19 was a “blessing from God” and that the cocktail made him feel better, The New York Times reports.
- “I felt unbelievable,” he said. “I felt good immediately.”
Regeneron said “if an EUA is granted the government has committed to making these doses available to the American people at no cost and would be responsible for their distribution.”
