President Donald Trump plans to host his first in-person event since his COVID-19 diagnosis from the White House on Saturday, ABC News reports.
- A source told ABC News that event will include “remarks to peaceful protesters for law and order” from President Trump.
- The gathering will happen on the South of the White House.
- Trump is expected to address a crowd from the White House balcony.
Dr. Sean Conley — the president’s doctor — said Thursday that Trump is mostly symptom free and has completed therapy for COVID-19.
Conley said Trump can return to public engagements as well, which I wrote about for Deseret.com.
- “Today the president has completed his course of therapy for COVID-19 as prescribed by his team of physicians. ... Saturday will be day 10 since Thursday’s diagnosis, and based on the trajectory of advanced diagnostics the team has been conducting, I fully anticipate the president’s safe return to public engagements at that time.”
