The 2020 presidential election will go into a third day as President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden duke it out in four battleground states — Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Georgia.
- The two candidates await all the votes to be tallied to determine who will win the election. As it stands, Biden leads in Arizona and Nevada. Trump holds a lead in Georgia and Pennsylvania.
More votes will filter through Thursday. CNN reported the four battleground states will give updates over the next few hours.
10 a.m. MST — Nevada’s Clark County, which includes Las Vegas, will give an update on the state of the race. Biden currently holds a slim lead in Nevada.
7 p.m. MST — Arizona’s Maricopa County, which includes Phoenix, will give an update later tonight. Biden leads with Trump close behind.
Unclear — Pennsylvania. There is no indication about when we’ll see results from Pennsylvania. Mail-in ballots are expected to arrive throughout the day.
Something else to consider:
- The Trump campaign said Wednesday it had filed lawsuits to halt vote counting in Michigan, Georgia and Pennsylvania. Trump reiterated these claims by saying “stop the count” on Twitter.
